We are pleased to announce the launch of Eco-Innovation Oman, an environmental innovation competition open for undergraduate and graduate students studying in universities and colleges across Oman. The aim of Eco-Innovation Oman is to ignite new ideas from all over Oman that will alter and revolutionize the present-day environmental situation in the country.

All achievements have their beginnings in an idea. A good idea with proper work has the power to change the world. Oman needs a newly minted idea, a belief and a vision from the young generation to power sustainable development of the nation.

Eco-Innovation Oman welcomes abstracts (not more than 500 words) from students who are working on innovative projects related to the following core areas:

  • Environment protection
  • Water conservation
  • Waste management
  • Waste recycling
  • Wastewater treatment
  • Green architecture
  • Climate change mitigation
  • Pollution abatement
  • Green entrepreneurship
  • Renewable energy
  • Energy efficiency
  • Sustainability
  • Clean manufacturing
  • Environmental education
  • The selected applicants will be given the opportunity to showcase their projects, before policy makers, investors, corporates and mentors, at the prestigious Oman Waste and Environmental Services Conference and Exhibition which will take place from 4-5 Dec at the Sheraton Oman Hotel.
